Dealing with Loss from Far Away

At the end of the weekend I got some devastating news from home. Jazz, my maltese poodle had been attacked by another dog that was visiting the neighbors.

Today she passed.

I never imagined that I would have to deal with something so devastating while being this far away from home and my family. She is always the first one to greet me when I come home from the airport and I can’t even imagine what it will be like to come home without hearing her yelps of excitement. I wish I could have been there to give her one last hug and kiss.

Rest in Peace to the goofiest and most loving member of the Eghan clan.
